A View in Pieces is a photographic collage created from a series of images captured from the same balcony overlooking the Chicago skyline. This has been my home and my view for almost a decade.
Rather than combining the photographs into a seamless panorama, the individual images are intentionally left slightly misaligned, allowing buildings, windows, and architectural details to overlap, shift, and interrupt one another.
The fragmented composition transforms a familiar city view into something more abstract and dreamlike, exploring the relationship between place, perspective, and memory. Each photograph captures the same surroundings from a slightly different moment, creating a single view that could never actually exist in one frame.
